Prepare materials
1. Container selection
The first is a well drained tile basin with enough drainage holes. Prepare the gravel and pebbles at the bottom, and the loose potting soil should also be selected p>
2. Soil medium
If it's just to make plants root, perlite or river sand can be prepared in the early stage. Plant cuttings can be inserted to keep warm and moist. With bagging, the success rate is a little faster than soil culture rooting p>
3. Rooting powder
Whether you decide to use rooting agent depends on what plant you are cutting. If it is easy to take root, such as rose, tomato and vanilla, it is not necessary. After all, it's a chemical substance. You can't use too much. Just use an appropriate amount according to the instructions. (it can also be replaced by soaking willow branches and leaves in hot water)
Cutting process
1. Soil preparation
The soil can be mixed with some river sand or perlite to increase drainage and air permeability. Then spray the soil wet, but do not pour it through. If it is too wet, it is not suitable p>
2. Plant cuttings treatment
The scissors used for cutting cuttings must be disinfected and sharp. They should be cut obliquely along the plant stem. Here, the immortal finger is used as a demonstration p>
Oblique cutting can increase the contact area between cuttings and soil, and its rooting area will be larger and easier to take root p>
If it is other cuttings, remove the leaves at the lower part, leave 4 leaves at the top, and remove the excess flower buds. No flowers are left in cuttings p>
You can dip some rooting powder (just dip a little at the bottom). If you decide to use it, dip a little, or mix it with water and soak it in the solution for a few minutes p>
3. Cutting treatment
Dig a small hole with your fingers and bury the stems of the plants in the soil. The buried part is about 1 / 4. Press the soil a little p>
If the temperature is lower than 17 ℃, cutting propagation is not so easy, so we can cover it with fresh-keeping film. The cuttings of immortal finger are not high, so we can directly cover it with fresh-keeping film p>
If it is other higher cuttings, use the plastic bag that stands up to avoid the contact between the plastic bag and the cuttings. You can do some support p>
4. Placement position
Put the potted plant with cuttings in a warm, ventilated place with scattered light, and open the film for 3 hours at noon every day. (you can also poke more holes on the plastic wrap)
Spray water frequently to keep the basin soil slightly moist without moisture and ponding. Spray some fog water on the plants every day. In 1 ~ 2 weeks, you can see that they begin to grow roots p>
In general, it is a device similar to a small greenhouse made of fresh-keeping film~
