Bud insertion

When cutting the peony into the axil, the length of the lotus leaf should be about 5cm, and then cut it into the axil to ensure that the length of the lotus leaf is about 5cm. At the same time, insert it into the inflorescence. Note that the length of the lotus leaf should be about 5cm from the axillary × 10cm。

Softwood cutting

Select the branches with full growth and development, cut off the inflorescence, cut 2 ~ 3 sections into one section, each section is about 10cm long, leave a leaf at the upper end, then cut off some leaflets, insert 2 sections into the soil, expose the upper section with leaflets outside the soil, and the plant row spacing is 10cm × 10cm。

Post insertion management

Use a fine eye watering can to pour water after cutting. It needs to be poured thoroughly to make the cuttings in close contact with the substrate. The bed is covered with plastic film, and then covered with straw curtains to create a semi shady environment. The temperature shall be controlled at about 25 ℃. If the temperature is too high, it shall be ventilated and cooled appropriately to keep the bed soil moist. It can take about 40 days to take root, and then gradually remove the shed film and straw curtain. It can be transplanted and planted in the next spring and bloom in that year
