1、 Cutting time

Generally, in family maintenance, cutting is an ideal way of propagation. Ping An tree is usually cut in spring and autumn. If it is indoor heating in northern winter, it can also be cut in the propagation box

2、 Select branches

When cutting, the branches of the current year should be selected. Generally, the branches with a length of 15 cm to 20 cm should be selected. The lower part of the branches should be cut into horseshoe shape with a sharp blade, and the upper leaves should be retained for 1 to 2 pieces, and the other leaves should be removed. The retained leaves can also reduce its transpiration by cutting half of the leaves

The matrix for cutting can be mixed with peat and vermiculite in the ratio of 1:1

4、 Cutting method

Pour the substrate into water, dip the lower cut of the branch with rooting powder, insert the cuttings into the substrate for about two fingers, and press the surrounding substrate. To ensure that the cuttings are moist enough, dried fruit can be sprayed to improve its humidity. When you can see the new bud germination of Ping An tree, it proves that it has survived. In spring and autumn, it can take 20 to 30 days to take root and germinate, and then transplant it into the flower pot
